Oil & Gas Facts

Within 5 to 10 years, the world's demand for oil will overwhelm the production capabilities of the oil producing nations. That's when the world will enter an era of "Peak Oil," rapidly declining supply and skyrocketing prices -- the end of cheap oil. Peak oil is not about when we run out of oil but, rather, when the production of cheap oil starts to decline. And, as we shall see, that is much closer than we think.

Oil & Gas Facts

Despite rising prices, use of liquid fuels will increase by an average of 1.3 percent per year, or 45 percent overall from 2007 to 2035. If that's true, we'll need 110.6 million barrels per day. Today, the world produces 89 million barrels per day. Where's the difference going to come from?

Oil & Gas Facts

The trend of oil discovery peaked during the 1960s with the last exceptional year being 72 Gigabarrels in 1972. Even the occasional successes such as the discovery of North Sea oil in the mid-1970s do not halt the trend, just provide a few years' respite.

Oil & Gas Facts

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and other crude oil spot prices have risen about $15 per barrel since mid-February partly in response to the disruption of crude oil exports from Libya. Continuing unrest in Libya as well as other North African and Middle Eastern countries has led to the highest crude oil prices since 2008. As a result, EIA has raised its forecast for the average cost of crude oil to refiners to $105 per barrel in 2011.

Oil & Gas Facts

Oil consumption in Asia is going to increase dramatically in the next few decades and this will outweigh any decrease from Europe and the US. The population of China is still expected to rise. Consumption will slow and decline as oil production decreases and recessions bite, but the exact figures for that are impossible to calculate. What is clear is that, if the world continues as it presently is doing, oil consumption will continue to rise.

Oil & Gas Facts

There have been only five times in the past 70 years when the price of oil has doubled within a two-year time frame: January 1974, November 1979, September 1990, June 2000, and August 2005. And now, December 2010.

Oil & Gas Facts

U.S. natural gas reserves historically have been concentrated around Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. With the recent onset of shale production the number of states across the U.S with significant resources has increased, with major shale gas-producing states including New York, Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as Texas and Louisiana. Total U.S. natural gas resources are at just over 1,836 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas.

Oil & Gas Facts

Total natural gas consumption will grow 1.0 percent in 2012, from 66.6 Bcf/d to 67.2 Bcf/d. Increases in natural gas consumption in the electric power sector and the industrial sector are partially offset by slight declines in residential and commercial consumption. Because natural gas produces less carbon dioxide when it is burned than does either coal or petroleum, governments implementing national or regional policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions may encourage its use to displace other fossil fuels.

Welcome To Enermax

EnerMax, Inc., founded in 2001, is an independent Texas oil and natural gas company specializing in the exploration and development of fossil fuel reserves. Our operations are focused on the petroleum rich regions of Texas and Louisiana. Our motto, "Exploring today for a better tomorrow," is more than just a tagline. It is our mission. We strive to increase proven domestic reserves, and we do this by exploring new fields and revisiting previously drilled areas to discover them anew with advanced technology.

Texas oil drilling is a historical endeavor - a necessary endeavor which we are proud to pursue. EnerMax is steeped in the culture of the Old West and the historical pursuit of one of the world's most important natural resources. Every step of our operations, from prospect generation to the final stages of production, is handled by experts who respect this world-renowned Texas tradition.

Oil and gas speculations have captured the focus of the investment market. This is because all sectors of business are deeply affected by the price and availability of fossil fuels. Oil and gas investments have performed well over the past several years as commodity prices continue in a steady overall uptrend, and the projected growth rate of nations such as China and India indicate continuation of this trend. In fact, growing concerns about increasing energy demands from developing nations are causing many nations to seek more energy independence.

In this complex energy market, EnerMax is consistently developing oil and gas prospects that have a solid geological foundation. We have assembled a team of regional experts to evaluate our projects from inception to completion. By taking advantage of technological innovations, we are strategically recovering domestic oil and gas reserves.

As the need to protect precious resources increases, forward-thinking companies such as EnerMax are providing an economical approach to oil and gas drilling. Using state-of-the-art technology, EnerMax selects high quality prospects, eliminating many dry holes and increasing recovered resources per each well drilled.

"Advanced technologies have been behind the logic-defying trends in E&P, allowing economic access to domestic resources that are concentrated in deeper formations, tighter zones, deeper water, more sensitive environments, and increasingly more unconventional settings."read more...
